​As a team, we come in all levels and experience of riding.  We love the challenge and the inspiration of the ride and are lucky to have two riding events - The local Iron Horse Bicycle Classic and the Courage Classic Event by Children's Hospital Colorado

The Iron Horse has historically donated 50 bib registration slots to assist our cause in helping kids throughout SW Colorado.  
 Rider registration includes FREE……..
  • Registration for either the road tour, the road race, or mountain bike events.  Good for a single event entry.
  • Custom Specialized Team Water Bottle
  • Custom Team Durango Derailers Jersey from Primal

Team riders are expected to fundraise a minimum of $300 that goes directly to the Durango Derailers Patient Assistance Fund.  Fundraising tools and support will be provided to all riders.
The Courage Classic Cycling Event (our original riding event)- is JULY 20-21st. This incredible 2 day riding event, based at Copper Mountain, riding through Summit County is the founding event of our cause. 
The Durango Derailers Team has been riding in the Courage Classic for 17 years.  In 2012, when the team raised over $58,000 they were able to start the fund providing assistance with lodging and transportation for patients and families from SW Colorado as they traveled to Children's Hospital Colorado for care. They carry the title of top 10 fundraising team for several years!! 

In 2023, we partnered with the "Psyched To Climb" team to add more focus on the mental health needs of our local kids.  Here's a link to learn more about them and their cause.

AIM HIGH FOR KIDS- We recommend setting your goal to $300 but don’t stop there. Go as far as you like.
